How to be a fit Mummy after Pregnancy

Before starting a new exercise programme after giving birth it is recommended that you wait at least 6 weeks if having a natural birth and 12 weeks for c-section births. Once you've been given the all clear to exercise and you feel like doing some exercise, daily walks with your baby in their pushchair is a great place to start.
Fresh air is good for you and will help keep (*)'baby blues' at bay. Your baby will love the various sights and sounds too.
(*If you think you are suffering from postnatal depression and are struggling to cope, help is available. Speak to your GP or Health Visitor as soon as you can for advice).
When you are ready to increase your level of activity and start your postnatal re-balance and healing Mum & Baby Yoga & Pilates is safe and effective. It is designed so that Mums and their babies can bond while exercising and having fun together.
The classes are informal and relaxed. We expect that the babies may need to be fed or changed during the classes and allow for this.
